Mr. Arthur Davis Sr., was born in Washington, LA on March 19, 1929 to the union of his parents John Davis and Eva Lou Boyce Davis.
Arthur entered and served as private in the United States Air Force Unit 1947. He later became a professional truck driver until his retirement. He enjoyed watching his favorite sports; boxingm baseball, and basketball.
Arthur passed away on October 3, 2016 at Acadia General Hospital in Crowley, LA. He was 87. He was preceded in death by his father John Davis, mother Eva Lou Boyce Davis, brothers Walter Bates, Howard Davis, Claytie Davis, Edmond Davis; sister, Mary Jane Davis, his son's Cedrick K. Davis, David G. Davis, and his daughter Debra Davis.
Arthur leaves to cherish his memory his son's Arthur Davis Jr(Gloria, of Houston, TX, Patrick Davis(Debra) of Baton Rouge, LA., daughter's Venette Davis Ardoin(Calvin) of Crowley, LA and Stephanie Davis of Crowley, LA, daughter-in-law Gwen Davis of Port Arthur, TX, Sister-in-law Flordia(Tiny) Morgan Crowley, LA, brother-in-llaw Warren Scott of Springfiel, Mass and a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren and loving family and friends.
Arthur will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at Jerusalem Baptist Church, visitation start at 8:00 am and service will follow at 11:00 am. Final arangements were entrusted to Evins, Larry and Perry Family Funeral Home, Inc. 617 West 4th Street Crowley, LA
