Hattie Mae Wade was born in Meeker, LA on December 2, 1928 to the union of her parents Mamie and Bessie Holmes.
She was a member of Rising Star Baptist Church and worked for Allen Parish School in Oakdale as a school cafeteria Manager for 35 years.
Mrs. Hattie Mae Wade passed away on July 22, 2016 at the age of 87 she was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Hillery Wade, her daughter Carolyn Knott, sisters, Velma Ruth Holmes, Dorothy Holmes Ford, Fannie Hayes and Bernice Hayes, brothers, Mamie Holmes Jr., Lem Holmes, Joe Clark, Essie Holmes, Clarence Holmes and Rev. Joshua Thomas.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Mary (Jerry) Edjeren of Houston, TX, Brenda (Weldon) Young of Wendell, NC, Wesley (Mildred) White Jr. of Alex, LA, Danny (Virginia) White of Glenmora, LA, Michelle Jones & Allen (Helen) Johnson both of Oakdale, LA, sisters, Bernice Ballard & Louzie Holmes both of Oakdale, LA, 22 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren.
