Mrs Helen Calais Obituary
Helen Marie Calais was born in Lafayette, LA on November 22, 1945, to the union of her parents Robert and Cecilia Pierre.
Mrs. Calais was a member of Queen of Peace Church in Lafayette. She was a licensed Practical Nurse for 16 years and enjoyed painting flowers and thrift store shopping.
On February 2, 2017 at the age of 71, the Angels of the Lord came and carried Mrs. Calais home to be with her Savior. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Leopold Calais, her daughter; Janet Keith, her brother, Arthur Pierre and three grandsons, Messiah Henderson, Marvin Lewis Jr., Micheal Calais Jr.
Mrs. Helen Marie Calais leaves to cherish her memory her sons, Ransom Nicholas, Algy Nicholas, Kevin Nicholas, her daughter Sherell Calais of Lafayette, LA and a host of other loving family and friends. Mrs Calais will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.
A visitation service will be held at the Old Gethsemane Community Center, 317 12th Street, Lafayette, LA; on Saturday, February 11, 2017, from 7-9 am. Funeral services conducted under the leadership of Deacon Lloyd will begin at 9 a.m. Burial service will be held at Calvary Cemetery, 355 Teurlings Dr., Lafayette.
